ti <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 99 - 05 (1428/2861) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN TO INCLUDE RESIDENTIAL <br /> DEVELOPMENT AS A POTENTIAL USE IN THE PERALTA AVENUE AREA, WEST <br /> OF SAN LEANDRO BOULEVARD (specifically, a 44.6 acre area bounded by the BART <br /> right -of -way to the east, the San Leandro Creek to the south, the Southern Pacific Railroad <br /> right -of -way to the west, and the San Leandro - Oakland border to the north) <br /> Recitals <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro, after public hearings duly and <br /> . properly held in compliance with the Zoning Code of the City of San Leandro, has determined that <br /> the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require amending the General Plan to include <br /> residential development as a potential use in the Peralta Avenue Area, west of San Leandro <br /> Boulevard. <br /> WHEREAS, the amendment to the General Plan, specific to the Peralta Avenue Area, are <br /> shown in italics and strikeouts on page V -96, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein by reference, has been reviewed by the City Council, and they are familiar with the contents <br /> thereof. (The only changes are on page V -96. The previous page, V -95, has been provided to show <br /> the entire context of the General Plan discussion on the Peralta Avenue Area). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1: That properties within the Peralta Area, as described in the General Plan is <br /> hereby amended to include residential development as a potential use. <br /> Section 2: The City of San Leandro General Plan is hereby amended as shown on pages <br /> V -95 and V -96, filed in the office of the City Clerk on February 9, 1999. <br />
