r ; <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 99 — 08 (1055/1413) <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RELATING TO THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> OF 2000 AND PROVIDING FOR THE CONTINUED CONSOLIDATION <br /> OF ELECTIONS WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1. Pursuant to Charter Section 600, the General Municipal Election of <br /> the City of San Leandro for the year 2000 shall be and is hereby consolidated with the <br /> Statewide General Election to be conducted on November 7, 2000. <br /> Section 2. Pursuant to Charter Section 600, future General Municipal <br /> Elections of the City of San Leandro shall be and are hereby consolidated with the <br /> Statewide General Election to be conducted the first Tuesday after the first Monday in <br /> November of each even numbered year. <br /> Section 3. The term of office for those persons elected to City offices at the <br /> General Municipal Election shall commence on January 1 following the election. <br /> Section 4. Ordinances 97 -019 and 97 -034 are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5. The City Council shall by resolution provide for all procedures <br /> relative to the conduct of such General Municipal Election. <br /> Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after adoption and <br /> the title thereof shall be published once prior to adoption. <br />
