IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE No. 99 - 021 (2643/1076) <br /> AN URGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 11A, CHAPTER 5, <br /> OF TITLE VII OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE, <br /> ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE EARTHQUAKE HAZARD REDUCTION <br /> IN EXISTING UNREINFORCED MASONRY WALL BUILDINGS, AS AMENDED <br /> AND MAKING THIS MATTER AN URGENCY MEASURE TO TAKE EFFECT <br /> JULY 1, 1999, PURSUANT TO SECTION 1- 1- 345(f) AND (b) <br /> OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE BECAUSE IT RELATES TO <br /> PARTICULAR PROVISIONS OF LAW PRESCRIBING THE MANNER OF ITS <br /> PASSAGE AND ADOPTION AND FOR THE IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION OF THE <br /> PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH OR SAFETY <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1. Article 11A of Chapter 5 of Title VII of the <br /> San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 1999, <br /> pursuant to Section 1- 1- 345(f) of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br /> because it relates to particular provisions of law prescribing <br /> the manner of its passage and adoption and Section 1- 1- 345(b) of <br /> the San Leandro Municipal Code because it relates to the <br /> immediate preservation of the public peace, health or safety by <br /> establishing uniform standards for construction.
