IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 99 - 023 0076) <br /> AN URGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 13 <br /> AND ADDING ARTICLE 13 TO CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE VII OF THE <br /> SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE <br /> ENFORCEMENT AND ABATEMENT - ACCOMPLISHMENT OF WORK; LIEN, <br /> AS AMENDED, AND MAKING THIS MATTER AN URGENCY MEASURE TO TAKE <br /> EFFECT JULY 1, 1999, PURSUANT TO SECTION 1 -1 -345 (f) AND (b) OF THE <br /> SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE BECAUSE IT RELATES TO PARTICULAR <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW PRESCRIBING THE MANNER OF ITS PASSAGE AND ADOPTION <br /> AND FOR THE IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION OF THE <br /> PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH OR SAFETY <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as <br /> follows: <br /> . Section 1. Article 13 of Chapter 5 of Title VII of the San <br /> Leandro Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. Article 13 is hereby added to Chapter 5 of Title VII <br /> of the San Leandro Municipal Code to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE 13. ENFORCEMENT AND ABATEMENT <br /> ACCOMPLISHMENT OF WORK; LIEN <br /> Section 7 -5 -1300: ENFORCEMENT OF ORDER OF THE BUILDING <br /> OFFICIAL, BOARD OF APPEALS OR RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. <br /> Whenever the work required by an order of the Building Official, <br /> Board of Appeals or by resolution of the City Council has not been <br /> commenced or completed within the times stated therein, the Building <br /> Official shall cause the work to be accomplished either by City <br /> personnel or by private contract under standard Public Works <br /> contractual procedures. The cost of such work shall be paid from <br /> the General Fund of the City and shall be repaid to said fund out of <br /> the proceeds of the collections hereinafter provided for. <br /> Section 7 -5 -1305: RECORD OF COST OF REPAIR OR DEMOLITION. <br /> Upon the completion of any repair or demolition work accomplished <br /> pursuant to Section 7 -5 -1300, the Building Official shall cause to <br /> be prepared and filed with the City Clerk a written report <br /> specifying: <br /> The work done; <br /> (b) The cost of the work and incidental expenses (the term <br /> "incidental expenses" shall include but not be limited to <br /> the expenses and costs of the City in the preparation of <br /> notices, specifications and contracts, inspection of the <br /> 1 <br />
