IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 96 - 015 (1022) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6- 1- 430(c) <br /> OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING <br /> TO TRAFFIC CONTROL OF NON - MOTORIZED VEHICLES <br /> WHEREAS, restricting the overnight parking of certain non - motorized vehicles <br /> on public streets improves the quality of life for City residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, occasions arise when City owned or operated non - motorized <br /> vehicles need to be parked overnight on public streets to carry out necessary City <br /> business; and <br /> WHEREAS, the San Leandro Municipal Code must be amended to provide an <br /> exception to the prohibition against overnight parking of non - motorized vehicles for <br /> situations involving City business. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br /> ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1. Section 6- 1- 430(c) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 6 -1 -430 OVERNIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED; OFF - STREET <br /> PARKING OF CERTAIN SIZE VEHICLES. <br /> (c) Non - Motorized Vehicles. <br /> Except as provided herein, no vehicle other than a motor vehicle as <br /> defined by California Vehicle Code section 415 shall be parked or left <br /> standing upon any street between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. <br />
