• <br /> r`• <br /> • <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 96- 016 <br /> (2603/1413) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 -2 -220 AND 2 -2 -500 <br /> OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> PROVIDING FOR A BUSINESS LICENSE FEE FOR <br /> FIREARMS DEALERS BASED UPON GROSS RECEIPTS <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br /> ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section I. The San Leandro Municipal Code TITLE II - REVENUE, <br /> Chapter 2 - Business License, Section 2 -2 -220 - DEFINITIONS, is amended and <br /> renumbered to read, in part, as follows: <br /> "Section 2 -2 -220: [(a) - (h) no changes; renumber other subsections.] <br /> (i) Firearms dealer shall mean a person engaged in the business of <br /> selling, transferring, or leasing, or advertising for sale, transfer, or <br /> lease, or offering or exposing for sale, transfer, or lease, any <br /> firearm capable of being concealed upon the person as defined by <br /> the Penal Code of the State of California." <br /> Section 2. The San Leandro Municipal Code TITLE II - REVENUE, <br /> Chapter 2 - Business License, Section 2 -2 -500 - FEES BASED ON NATURE OF <br /> BUSINESS, is amended to add the following: <br /> "Section 2 -2 -500: <br /> • <br /> GROUPS V BASE FEE UNIT FEE UNIT FEE BASIS <br /> Firearms Dealer $50.00+ $3.00 Per $100.00 of Gross Receipts <br /> attributable to the sales of <br /> firearms capable of being concealed <br /> upon the person and ammunition for <br /> • such firearms, excluding sales to public <br /> agencies." <br /> • <br /> 1 <br />
