IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 12 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF <br /> THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO APPROVING <br /> THE DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (DDA) <br /> BETWEEN THE SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, MICHAEL BROOKS, LEONARD <br /> BRUNO AND JOHN THOMAS PEREIRA FOR THE SALE OF PROPERTY AT 1948 DAVIS STREET <br /> APN #77A- 675 -17; PLAZA 2 REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA; FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN <br /> AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE CENTER <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency) has negotiated a Disposition and <br /> Development Agreement ( "Agreement ") between the Agency and Michael Brooks, Leonard Bruno and <br /> John Thomas Pereira (collectively "Developer") to build an automobile services related business at 1948 <br /> Davis Street, San Leandro, which will further the purposes of the City of San Leandro Plaza II <br /> Redevelopment Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for the Agency to convey the Property at 1948 Davis Street, <br /> San Leandro (the "Property ") to Developer for consideration in the amount of one hundred eleven <br /> thousand eight hundred eighty five dollars ($111,885); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency finds and declares that the development provided in the Agreement will <br /> implement and carry out the provisions of the City of San Leandro Plaza II Redevelopment Plan ( "Plan "); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency finds and declares that the Agreement will assist in the elimination of <br /> blight in the Project Area by eliminating and preventing the spread of conditions of blight including under- <br /> utilized parcels, and other environmental, economic, and social deficiencies through expanding <br /> employment opportunities in a manner compatible and consistent with the existing Implementation Plan <br /> and Redevelopment Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency finds and declares that this project is categorically exempt from the <br /> Califomia Environmental Quality Act pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15332, found in Title 14 of the <br /> California Code of Regulations for the following reasons: <br /> a) The project is consistent with the applicable general plan policies and applicable zoning <br /> designation and regulations; <br /> 1 <br />
