Hollister <br /> City Manager <br /> TO: Steve Hollister, City Manager <br /> FROM: Luke Sims, Community Development Director <br /> BY: Cynthia Battenberg, Business Development Manager <br /> SUBJECT PROJECT/PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> MATTER OF RATIFICATION OF THREE ADDITIONAL MEMBERS TO THE <br /> SHORELINE DEVELOPMENT CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> RECOMNIENDATION <br /> The Shoreline Development Citizens Advisory Committee (Shoreline CAC) was created in <br /> November 2008 to provide feedback to Cal -Coast Development, LLC (Cal- Coast) and the City <br /> Council on development concepts for the Shoreline Area. Mayor Cassidy, following public <br /> notification of the opportunity, is recommending three additional members be added to the <br /> Shoreline CAC. Staff recommends that the City Council make a motion ratifying the addition of <br /> John W. Carlson. Steve Modifer and Christina R. Ramos as members of the Shoreline CAC. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In November 2008. the City Council ratified 33 members to serve on the Shoreline CAC whose <br /> mission is to provide input to the City Council and Cal -Coast Development, the master <br /> developer, on development concepts for the Shoreline Area. Attendance and participation in the <br /> Shoreline CAC meetings has been strong and currently, 32 of the 33 members remain active in <br /> the Shoreline CAC. Tina K.uang withdrew in Fall 2010 when she left the City to attend <br /> university. <br /> The Shoreline CAC has met 13 times over the past two years to learn about the site and provide <br /> valuable input to the master developer.
