CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> A. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> City Clerk Marian Handa led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> B. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Members Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak; <br /> Mayor Cassidy <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> C. ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Mayor Cassidy gave an update on the City Manager recruitment process, including the <br /> various actions and timeline. He urged community members to complete the online <br /> survey, providing input on the desired qualities and characteristics of the next City <br /> Manager. Councilmembers asked questions about reference and background checks on <br /> the candidates. At the request of Councilmember Starosciak, Mayor Cassidy indicated <br /> that the Council would be provided with a list of the reference and background items to <br /> be checked. Mayor Cassidy and City Manager Hollister stressed the importance of <br /> maintaining the confidentiality of the candidates, most of whom are currently employed. <br /> 2. PRESENTATIONS / RECOGNITIONS <br /> A. Recognition of the Employee of the Quarter, Chienhua "Dean" Hsiao, Traffic <br /> Operations Engineer, Engineering and Transportation Department. <br /> Dean Hsiao was present to receive his award. <br />
