Rewards have <br />been offered in the past and have proven successful. This senseless act of violence that <br />killed three people and wounded three others cannot be tolerated in a civilized society. In <br />order to assist the San Leandro Police Department in the successful resolution of this case, I <br />am recommending a reward of $10,000 for information leading to the apprehension of <br />individual(s) who committed the crime. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The proposed reward of $10,000 will be funded through the current Fiscal Year 2011 -12 <br />budget appropriation in account 010 -14- 015 -5890. <br />Budget Authority <br />The Finance Director has confirmed that sufficient funds are available in the aforementioned <br />account for the recommended action. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 10/11/2011 <br />
