f . <br /> MINUTES <br /> SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> JULY 18, 1994 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in Regular Session in the City <br /> Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Corbett <br /> presiding. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> A. Commendation for Former City Council Member and Mayor John Faria. <br /> B. Commendation for Former City Council Member Paul Nahm. <br /> The City Clerk read the Presentations for Mr. Faria and Mr. Nahm, <br /> praising them for their dedicated service to the City of San Leandro <br /> and their many contributions to the community. Mayor Corbett presented <br /> the commendations to them and thanked them for all they have done for <br /> the City of San Leandro. <br /> C. Proclamation Declaring July 18, 1994 Barbara Tierney Day in San <br /> Leandro. <br /> The City Clerk read the proclamation. Mayor Corbett thanked Mrs. <br /> Tierney for her efforts on behalf of the children of San Leandro and of <br /> the State of California. Mayor Corbett also said that Mrs. Tierney is <br /> a tireless advocate for the Floresta area. <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. <br /> A. Florence Ruha, 3754 Anza Way, said the railroad crossing at Alvarado <br /> Blvd. just before Montague is in very poor condition and needs to be <br /> repaired. <br /> B. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, spoke regarding Item B. on the <br /> Consent Calendar, the Department of Boating and Waterways Loan. He <br /> asked if the payments would be made from the General Fund or the Marina <br /> Fund. Mike Oliver, City Manager, said they would be made from the <br /> Marina fund. <br />
