MINUTES
SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 15, 1994
The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in Regular Session in the City
Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Corbett
presiding.
1. CALL TO ORDER
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
3. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa;
Mayor Corbett
ABSENT: None
4. PRESENTATIONS
None
5. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited
to make any comments related to Agenda items (including San Leandro
Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Parking Authority, and San Leandro
Industrial Development Authority) or other items of public interest at this
time. Comments regarding Public Hearing items will be heard during the
Public Hearing portion of the Agenda.
A. Fred Friedman, 348 Estabrook Street, said a number of years ago the
City Council voted to have the Cable TV Public Hearing in September to
avoid vacation time. He said he protested the August Hearing because
it is a disservice to the community because people who would be
inclined to come to the meeting are on vacation. He noted cable
matters are always at the end of the Agenda, sometimes as late as 11:00
p.m. , and people have to stay up for a long time. He said he hoped the
Hearing could be moved to an earlier time on the schedule.
Kathy Ornelas, Community Relations Representative, said she listened to
the tape from the last Public Hearing and was not aware of any
determinations made regarding scheduling of future Hearings.
