San Leandro, California, October 1 , 1990 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in regular session in the City <br /> Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. The meeting <br /> was opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag of our country, Mayor Karp <br /> presiding. <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the meeting of September 17, 1990 were approved as submitted. <br /> The minutes of the meeting of September 24, 1990 were approved as submitted. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of Checks to the City by the Optimist Club of San Leandro for <br /> the City-Wide Track Meet, Kid's Saturday, and Second Season Baseball . The <br /> Club submitted checks totalling over $4,000 for these activities. Mayor Karp <br /> noted that, in addition to their monetary contributions, the Optimist Club <br /> also volunteered workers at the programs. Mayor Karp thanked the Club for <br /> their generous support of these activities as well as their many other <br /> contributions to the community. <br /> RESOLUTIONS <br /> Steve Meyers, City Attorney, noted that the Resolution Deleting and Designating <br /> Restricted Parking, Two-Hour Parking, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sundays and Holidays <br /> Excepted, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, Portions of Both <br /> Sides of East 14th Street Between Garcia Avenue and Durant Avenue, should be <br /> corrected, and that paragraph 7, reading: "East 14th Street, West Side, between <br /> Farrelly Drive and West Broadmoor Boulevard, " should be deleted. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-208 (1022) <br /> RESOLUTION DELETING AND DESIGNATING <br /> RESTRICTED PARKING <br /> TWO-HOUR PARKING, 9:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M. <br /> SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS EXCEPTED <br /> TITLE VI, CHAPTER 1 OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> PORTIONS OF BOTH SIDES OF EAST 14TH STREET <br /> BETWEEN GARCIA AVENUE AND DURANT AVENUE <br /> Introduced by Council Member Glaze who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Faria and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
