San Leandro, California, November 5, 1990 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in regular session in the City <br /> Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. The meeting <br /> was opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag of our country, Mayor Karp <br /> presiding. <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Perry <br /> ROLL CALL <br />• Mayor Karp explained that Council Member Perry was in the hospital and had <br /> undergone surgery from which she was recovering well . <br /> MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the meeting of October 15, 1990 were approved as submitted. <br />► The Mayor noted that he was opening the floor to the public prior to the Public <br /> Hearings in case there was anyone in the audience who wished to address the City <br /> Council . <br /> Mrs. Maryellen Seigal , 2006 West Avenue 135th, said she wished to talk about her <br /> property on West Avenue 135th. The Mayor asked if she would wait until the <br />► Miscellaneous section of the Agenda. <br /> RESOLUTIONS <br /> The City Council asked a number of questions related to the growth of pickle <br /> weed, which is to be monitored as part of the restoration project. They asked <br /> what the status of the monitoring requirements was and a number of questions <br /> related to the tidal waters in the southern area and maintenance of the marsh <br /> area. They asked who enforces these requirements. <br /> Dick Randall , City Manager, and Bill Silva, City Engineer, said the City will <br /> hire experts to do the necessary monitoring. Dick Randall said that all of these <br /> requirements have been negotiated with other agencies and that the City needs <br />., to do what is reasonable without getting into long-term costs that the City <br /> cannot live with. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-222 (2323) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br /> WITH ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATES, INC. , <br /> FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RELATED TO DREDGING AND BENCH REMOVAL <br /> FOR THE MARINA FACILITIES REPLACEMENT AND <br /> SHORELINE RESTORATION PROJECTS <br /> Introduced by Council Member Glaze who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Polvorosa and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Perry ( 1 ) <br /> • <br />
