Rewards providing information leading to the identification and
arrest of persons responsible for violent crimes have been offered in the past and have
proven successful. This senseless act of violence that killed a San Leandro resident cannot
be tolerated in our City. In order to assist the San Leandro Police Department in the
successful resolution of this case, staff recommends a reward of $25,000 for information
leading to the identification and criminal charging of the individual(s) who committed this
violent crime.
Fiscal Impacts
The proposed reward of $25,000 will be funded through the current Fiscal Year 2014-15
budget appropriation approval from City Council in account 010-14-015-5890.
City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 2/11/2015
