AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO SUBGRANTEE SERVICE AGREEMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT(CDBG)FUNDS (EDEN COUNCIL FOR HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY (ECHO HOUSING)) THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made at San Leandro, California, as of September 7, 1999, by and between the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, (the "City"), and Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity, (the Subgrantee"). This Amendment is made in contemplation of the following facts, understandings and intentions of the parties: A. On August 17, 1998, the City and Subgrantee entered into an Agreement ("Agreement") pertaining to Fair Housing, Rental Assistance Program, and Tenant/Landlord Counseling for the City of San Leandro, for the time period corresponding to the City's 1998-99 Fiscal Year, with an amount certain($56,353), as agreed to in said Agreement. B. The City desires to amend the Agreement to amend the Scope of Services provided by Subgrantee to include the 1999-00 Fiscal Year, July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000 and to correspondingly increase the total amount of payment. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: 1. EXHIBIT A, Scope of Service,shall be amended as follows: a) "The Subgrantee shall provide the following service for the extended time period of July 1, 1999 through June 30,2000. 2. EXHIBIT B, Payment Schedule, shall be amended as follows: "City shall pay Subgrantee an amount not to exceed the total sum of One Hundred Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars ($114,397) for services performed pursuant to this Agreement." "Said maximum includes previously approved allocations of Fifty-Six Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars ($56,353) plus additional funds under this amendment of Fifty-Eight Thousand Forty-Four Dollars ($58,044) and is the total for all services provided." 3. In all other aspects the Agreement is hereby ratified, confirmed and shall continue in full force and effect.
