IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2001 - 13 (2888) <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> APPROVING THE OWNER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT AND <br /> SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH F. H. DAILEY MOTOR COMPANY <br /> FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY AT 936 MARINA BOULEVARD <br /> (APN 075-0102-008-02), 890 MARINA BOULEVARD (APN 075-0102-006-02) AND 954 <br /> MARINA BOULEVARD (APN 075-0102-009-02) <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") desires to alleviate blight in the <br /> Redevelopment Area by encouraging land uses that are compatible with existing uses and <br /> consistent with the Joint County of Alameda/ City of San Leandro Redevelopment Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, F. H. Dailey Motor Company ("Owner"), the current owner of the real <br /> property at 936 Marina Boulevard, desires to develop and operate a new Chevrolet Truck <br /> Satellite Sales Dealership ("Chevrolet Dealership") on the real property at 936 Marina Boulevard <br /> and the real property at 890 Marina Boulevard and 954 Marina Boulevard (collectively, <br /> "Property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency and the Owner have negotiated the Owner Participation <br /> Agreement and Settlement Agreement whereby the Owner will develop and operate the <br /> Chevrolet Dealership; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency finds and declares that the Owner Participation Agreement will <br /> assist in preventing the spread of blight in the Project Area, by adding another dealership to the <br /> existing San Leandro auto mall, by providing additional retail development and additional jobs in <br /> the Project Area and by permitting the Property to be developed in a manner compatible and <br /> consistent with the existing Implementation Plan and Redevelopment Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency finds and declares that environmental review of these <br /> Agreements is not required pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15332. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro hereby <br /> approves the Owner Participation Agreement and Settlement Agreement and directs the <br /> Executive Director to execute the Owner Participation Agreement and Settlement Agreement <br /> and any and all other documents necessary to implement the terms and conditions thereof. <br /> 1 <br />
