IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 11 ( 2833 ) <br />RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO SECOND LOW BIDDER, <br />ST. FRANCIS ELECTRIC <br />FOR E. 14TH STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS, FROM WARREN AVENUE TO <br />135TH AVENUE, PHASE II <br />PROJECT NO. 97-210-38-156 <br />Recitals <br />The City of San Leandro did, on November 17, 1997, publicly open, examine and declare <br />all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work described in Resolution No. 97-136 of the Council <br />of said City adopted on October 20, 1997, which resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a <br />description of said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under said resolution. <br />Said proposals were submitted to the Engineering and Transportation Director who has <br />recommended that the proposal hereinafter mentioned is the lowest responsive bid for doing said <br />work. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said City Council, because the lowest responsible bidder has failed to enter into the <br />contract, hereby waives any irregularities in the proposal or bid of the second lowest responsible <br />bidder, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work to the second lowest responsible <br />bidder therefor, to wit: St. Francis Electric, at the prices named in its bid on file in the Office of <br />the City Clerk. <br />Introduced by Council Member Pol vorosa and passed and adopted this 20th day <br />of January, 1998, by the following called vote: <br />
