At the same
time, access to city data presents opportunities for researchers and entrepreneurs to uncover
new insights and create new, valuable services and applications.
City staff is implementing an administrative policy with guidelines for publishing data online
through a centralized hub on the City website. This hub will include links to the City’s website, as
well as third-party online services and dashboards where city-owned data is displayed and
accessible in various file formats.
The Open Data Program directly supports the City’s recent actions to support the “City as a
Platform” Manifesto to develop and implement Smart City technologies and innovation. The
Online Open Data Hub will make city data accessible through open standards, using a common
approach that aligns with other governmental agencies and municipalities.
Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 10/30/2017
9
