City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: July 15, 2019 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:19-416 ACTION ITEMS <br />Agenda Number:10.B. <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Liz Warmerdam <br />Assistant City Manager <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Designating the Voting Delegate and Alternate(s) for the League <br />of California Cities 2019 Annual Conference (provides for discussion and <br />designation of a voting delegate and alternate voting delegate[s]) <br />WHEREAS, the League of California Cities (“League”) 2019 Annual Conference is <br />scheduled for October 16-18 in Long Beach, California; and <br />WHEREAS, an important part of the Annual Conference is the Annual Business Meeting, <br />scheduled for Friday, October 18, in which the League membership considers and takes action <br />on resolutions that establish League policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council must designate a voting delegate in order to vote at the <br />Annual Business Meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council may appoint up to two alternate voting delegates in the event <br />that the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That Councilmember _____ is hereby designated as the voting delegate; and <br />That Councilmember(s) _____ is/are hereby designated as the alternate voting <br />delegate(s). <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 7/9/2019 <br />535
