IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 36 (2648/ 2841) <br />A RESOLUTION TERMINATING THE <br />DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY <br />IN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />1. The City of San Leandro has weathered a series of storms characterized by heavy rains <br />and high winds, which have had the effect of saturating soils and causing severe soil subsidence, <br />drainage problems and flooding. <br />2. The City Manager declared a local emergency on February 6, 1998, pursuant to <br />Government Code § 8630. <br />3. The City Council ratified the declaration of local emergency on February 16, 1998. <br />4. The severe storms have subsided and the City is no longer in imminent danger of <br />flooding, high winds, landslides, soil subsidence, and electrical outages. <br />5. There are no longer actual and threatened conditions of disaster and extreme peril to <br />the safety of persons and property in the City. <br />6. The state and federal declarations of emergency that include the City of San Leandro <br />remain in effect. <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the local emergency declared by the City Manager on February 2, 1998, ratified by <br />the City Council on February 16, 1998, and reaffirmed by the City Council on March 2, 1998 is <br />hereby terminated. <br />
