RECOMMENDATIONS Staff recommend the City Council adopt a resolution to accept the donation and authorize the City Manager to execute all documents and take all necessary actions related to the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library donation of $40,500 to provide and enhance Summer Library Program, Programs at the Manor Branch Library, and Spanish Book Club to enhance the Quality of Life for San Leandro’s residents through diverse and robust library programming. BACKGROUND The Friends of the San Leandro Public Library was established in 1984 to support the San Leandro Public Library. They have continuously supported the library throughout the years. The Friends of the San Leandro Public Library efforts provide funding that can be used for services, programs, materials, etc. Analysis The Friends of the San Leandro Public Library provided $40,500 for the Summer Library Program, Programs at the Manor Branch Library, and Spanish Book Club.
