City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: March 7, 2016 <br />Staff Report <br />Agenda Section:File Number:16-070 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number:8.I. <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Lianne Marshall <br />Assistant City Manager <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:Staff Report for a Resolution Amending the Non-Represented Part-Time <br />Salary Schedule to Reflect a Salary Increase. <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends approval of the revisions to the City's Non-Represented Part-Time <br />Classifications Salary Schedule to reflect a salary increase. <br />DISCUSSION <br />All classifications on the Part-Time Classifications Salary Schedule are not represented by a <br />bargaining unit or employee group. Non-represented part-time employees are primarily <br />seasonal or temporary staff in the City’s Recreation and Human Services Department and the <br />Library Department. <br />The City values and appreciates the contributions from the non-represented part-time <br />employees in providing important programs and services enjoyed by the citizens of San <br />Leandro. The City Manager recommends a salary increase of three percent (3%) effective <br />March 1, 2016. This proposed increase is in line with the salary increases approved for <br />employees in the other bargaining groups. This group of employees do not receive benefits <br />and has not received a salary increase since 2008. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The financial impact is approximately $21,300 in FY 2015-16 and $43,300 in FY 2016-17. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Attachment to Resolution <br />·Salary Schedule <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 3/1/2016
