Resolution No. 2005-037, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Submit the <br />Measure B Paratransit Application and Gap Fund Application for the Expenditure of <br />Measure B Paratransit Funds in FY 2005-06 to the Alameda County Transportation <br />Improvement Authority (ACTIA), and to Negotiate and Execute All Documents in <br />Support of These Activities (authorizes the City Manager to submit annual applications <br />for Measure B Paratransit Grant Fund and Gap Fund to provide transportation services <br />to seniors and people with disabilities). (2639/2930) <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos commented that he is pleased with the information contained in <br />the report, and he indicated that he would like to see out-of-town medical trips <br />expanded. He stated that he is on the advisory board of the Even Start program, and the <br />program is in need of transportation service. He commented that in the future, the City <br />might consider ways of expanding the paratransit program to serve other needs. <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that she believes Measure B funds are restricted for <br />paratransit use, but that it is a good idea to consider other services in future program <br />expansiOn. <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Badger. Resolution No. 2005-038, Resolution Amending the San Leandro Management <br />Organization (SLMO) Salary Schedule to Add an Accounting Operations Manager <br />Classification (replaces the current Deputy Finance Director-Accounting/Operations <br />classification with an Accounting Operations Manager classification and establishes the <br />salary range). (1079/1177/2134) <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine asked for clarification on the proposed change. Mr. Jermanis <br />indicated that the change is due to the resignation of Deputy Finance Director Mary <br />McCarthy, who has accepted a position with the City of Pleasant Hill. The Finance <br />Director recommends downgrading the position to Accounting Operations Manager, <br />which will result in budget savings. <br /> <br />Councilmembers expressed surprise at Ms. McCarthy's departure, and wished her well <br />in her new position.
