The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding issues with the <br />sound wall on Westgate Parkway and expressed appreciation to City staff for investigating the <br />problem. Mr. Perez commented regarding a neighbor who accumulates garbage in his yard <br />and steals electricity. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, expressing concern <br />regarding the public's lack of access to the meeting information provided to the Council. He <br />commented on the wording on the closed session agenda. Mr. Filipovich commented that <br />senior citizens in San Leandro need more spending money. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis commented regarding Mr. Perez's repeated concerns about the height <br />of the sound wall and the lights shining into his home. Mr. Jermanis noted that the wall has <br />been constructed according to specifications to a height of twelve feet, and nothing further can <br />be done to block the lights from the store signage without infringing on the residents whose <br />backyards border the sound wall. Mr. Jermanis commented that the Code Compliance <br />division will be notified regarding the complaint of the trailer loaded with garbage in Mr. <br />Perez's neighborhood. <br /> <br />City Attorney Jayne Williams commented that there will be a report out from the closed <br />session later in the meeting. She noted that closed sessions are noticed in accordance with the <br />provisions ofthe Brown Act. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br />Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under <br />one motion. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Item 8.C. Item will be considered under <br />Item 9. Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />
