MINUTES Page 13
City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, and San Leandro Hillside Geologic Hazard
Abatement District Joint Meeting-July 18, 2005

Vice Mayor Badger commented that this change has been a long time in coming and
will strengthen the City's ability to deal with non-compliant businesses.

Councilmember Grant asked if the ordinance would apply to both ACI and Waste
Management. Public Works Services Director Mike Bakaldin indicated that Oro Lorna
Sanitary District has exclusive jurisdiction over approximately 40% of the city and is
not subject to the conditions of the ordinance. He noted that the cost for the citywide
collection of public litter containers is borne solely by ACI customers. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0

8.K. Resolution No. 2005-115, Resolution Approving Amendment to Agreement with
Meyers Nave for City Attorney Services (provides for hourly increase in compensation
for special services and Redevelopment Agency services effective August 1,2005, and
for amendments to reflect changed conditions). (1500)

Councilmember Santos commented that he believes Meyers Nave is a vendor, and the
City should follow the process for approving amendments to vendor agreements and
have the matter reviewed by the Finance Committee, then approved by the City Council.
Councilmember Starosciak concurred with Councilmember Santos and stated that she
