Airport Committee Meeting of September 1,2005. Accepted as submitted. 2. Airport Subcommittee Meeting of September 8, 2005 to Interview for Citizen Appointment to Oakland Airport/Community Noise Management Forum. Accepted as submitted. Recommendation for City Council Consideration: a. Appointment of Will Fernandez to the Oakland Airport/Community Noise Management Forum. By consensus, the City Council accepted this recommendation. 3. City and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of September 8,2005. Accepted as submitted. 12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Starosciak commented that the Healthy Families for Life Fair, sponsored by the San Leandro Collaborative for Children, Youth and their Families, is being held this Saturday at Bayfair Center. She encouraged everyone to attend. Councilmember Starosciak noted that the Pancake Breakfast fundraiser to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims is being held on October I, which is also the birthday of the late Officer Dan Niemi. She suggested that it would be nice to invite Officer Niemi's wife and family to attend the event as guests of the City. Mayor Young announced that tonight's meeting will be adjourned in memory of Ethan Johnson, a former member of the San Leandro School Board and Human Resource Commission; Ina Crowle, wife of Herbert Crowle; Bill Evans, father of Flint Evans; Anne Anderson, a member of the local art community; Joyce Agrella, the mother of Justin Agrella; and Mary "Mamie" Agrella, the grandmother of Justin Agrella. 13.
