Consideration of an Ordinance Amending Article 11, Chapter 3, Title 1 of the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code by Repealing Sections 1-3-1105 and 1-3-1110 Relating to <br />Membership of the Recreation and Parks Commission to Change the Two School Board <br />Nominees to At Large Nominees (modifies the membership of the Recreation and Parks <br />Commission to change the San Leandro School Board and San Lorenzo School Board <br />nominees to at large nominees). <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant made a motion to accept the draft ordinance with the addition of <br />language specifying that one of the at large nominees shall reside within the San <br />Leandro School District boundaries and one shall reside within the San Lorenzo School <br />District boundaries. Vice Mayor Badger seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos noted that many residents in the community, including School <br />Board trustees, have contacted members of the Council with concerns that the School <br />Districts were not a part of the process or decision. He suggested that the matter be <br />taken to the School Districts through the Liaison Committees to discuss the matter. <br /> <br />
