Resolution No. 2006-033, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into an <br />Agreement with the San Leandro Unified School District and Appropriating Funds <br />Relating to the Installation and Maintenance of an hrigation Well at Cherry Grove <br />Park, Project No. 210-62-007 (provides for an agreement to install and maintain a new <br />replacement well system that will supply irrigation to Cherry Grove Park, Woodrow <br />Wilson School and John Muir Middle School). Project Cost: $213,000, of which <br />$106,500 will be reimbursed by the District. Funding: $145,000 from General Fund <br />Reserves added to existing appropriation of $68,000. Matter of Discussion Regarding Existing Conditions Report Related to the Downtown <br />Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Strategy (provides comments on the Existing <br />Conditions Report to the Downtown TOD Strategy Citizen Advisory Committee and <br />consultants). (3076) <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis gave a brief background on the item and introduced Community <br />Development Director Hanson Horn. Mr. Horn provided an overview of the Downtown <br />TOD Strategy and introduced Planner III Kathleen Livermore. <br /> <br />Ms. Livermore gave a PowerPoint presentation providing information on the <br />Downtown Transit-Oriented Development Strategy and the Existing Conditions Report. <br />Ms. Livermore described next steps in the process including Council involvement in <br />several Citizen Advisory Committee meetings over the course ofthe year. <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that she and Vice Mayor Badger are very familiar with Bus <br />Rapid Transit (BRT) and the City is on record with AC Transit regarding the BRT <br />versus Rapid Bus concepts. <br />
