Excerpts from the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
Agenda No. 06-11

June 8, 2006

Chair Kleebauer noted that, by rights, the applicant would be free to appeal the matter
to the City Council on June 23, fifteen days from tonight's date.

Commissioner Dlugosh asked whether the applicant would be willing to come back with
modifications of the architectural design in order to mitigate some of the concerns that
had been expressed both by commissioners and the public, as these would be an issue
whether the project came back to the Plarming Commission or went forward to City
Council.

Chair Kleebauer invited the applicant forward to discuss whether he wished to bring the
matter to City Council without a Plarming Commission decision, or, whether he desired
another opportunity to address the Plarming Commission. She noted that the Council,
which would be required to hear an appeal within 45 days, would probably not hear the
matter until early September.

Applicant Langon indicated that his firm could provide some different renderings to
resolve some of the concerns that had been expressed at tonight's meeting.

Chair Kleebauer asked whether commissioners would be willing to entertain a motion
to table and reconvene the public hearing on June 22, 2006, the date of the next meeting.

Secretary PoUart noted that, if the matter is continued to this specific date, no one,
including the applicant and members of the public, would receive a second formal
notification by mail of the continued hearing. However, the public, both those members
in attendance and members who had not attended tonight, would be free to make further
comments when the public hearing resumes on June 22.

Motion to Continue the Public Hearing for PLN2005-00141 to a date
certain, June 22, 2006, for additional public comment and further
deliberation.
(Dlugosh / Holcomb; 6 Ayes, 0 Noes; Absent -Reed)

Secretary Poll art reemphasized the fact that there would be no further public notice by
mail of the continued June 22,2006 public hearing. She said that members of the public,
both those present at and absent from tonight's public meeting, are entitled to make
additional public comments at the June 22 meeting.

Chair Kleebauer called a lO-minute recess at 8:50 p.m. The meeting reconvened at 9:00
p.m.
