How did claimant get from <br />the parking lot to the hospital with such a <br />serious in'ur ? <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />Subrogation/Recovery <br /> <br />Percentile: 97% <br /> <br />Best practices for subrogation/recovery practices include: <br /> <br />· Identifying cases with subrogation/salvage potential upon receipt of claim <br />through review of all claims by claims manager. <br /> <br />· Scheduling activities to pursue recovery or offsets. <br /> <br />· Following up for response to reimbursement requests. <br /> <br />· Assigning attorney to file suit, as necessary. <br /> <br />· Arranging for salvage sale or negotiating value into settlement when <br />claimant desires to keep salvage item. <br /> <br />· Sending recoveries received to the City for deposit and crediting the <br />recovery to the claim record within 5 days of receipt. <br /> <br />George Hills handles all subrogation.
