All construction contracts shall include the following requirements: 1) unpaved <br />construction sites shall be sprinkled with water at least twice per day; 2) trucks <br />hauling construction materials shall be covered with tarpaulins or other effective <br />covers; 3) streets surrounding demolition and construction sites shall be swept at <br />least once per day; and 4) paving and planting shall be done as soon as possible. <br />City shall charge developer, and developer shall pay, for all costs of sweeping city <br />streets in the vicinity ofthe project as necessary to control dust and spillage. <br /> <br />VIII. POLICE DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Prior to issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy, the applicant shall submit <br />typical details and specifications for the security of the new residence; details <br />subject to the review and approval of the City of San Leandro Police Department <br />and the Chief Building Official. <br /> <br />B. All building addresses shall be placed in such a position as to be plainly visible <br />and legible from the street. Said numbers shall contrast with their background and <br />be visible at night. Details including number size and location shall be submitted <br />for the review and approval of the City of San Leandro Police Department, <br />Alameda County Fire Marshal and the Zoning Enforcement Official, prior to <br />issuance of building permits. <br /> <br />IX. ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. The project shall comply with the applicable Building and Fire Codes. Site and <br />building plans shall be provided to the Alameda County Fire Department for <br />review and approval. <br /> <br />B. Fire access as designed appears to meet the required fire department access <br />standards of 20 foot wide, 13 foot 6 inches vertical clearance, and with a <br />turnaround meeting ACFD standards. Final verification and approvals of design <br />shall be done at building review and subsequent inspections. <br /> <br />C. Fire Flow requirements for the project is 1500 gpm for 2 hours based on a <br />reduction for fire sprinklers. The current hydrant only provides 890 gpm. The <br />following mitigation has been approved for on this project in lieu of additional <br />water supply, as additional fire protection, and as an alternative means: Fire <br />resistive landscaping, final size, type and locations to be approved by the fire <br />department. Full NFP A 13d systems in all structures (no exceptions for small <br />rooms, closets, etc). All exterior details shall be noncombustible or fire resistive, <br />including stucco siding, Class A roofing, architectural details, etc. Fire pumps <br />shall be installed with secondary sources of power.
