The State of California Fair Political Practices <br />Commission (FPPC) recommends that cities amend their codes to incorporate Regulation 18730, <br />which allows for automatic amendment of their codes whenever the FPPC amends Section <br />18730, Title 2, Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations. Regulation 18730 is <br />incorporated as Appendix A to the City's Conflict ofInterest Code. <br /> <br />The Political Reform Act requires cities to establish a list of employees and members of certain <br />boards and commissions who must annually report certain economic interests. This list of <br />Designated Positions is incorporated into the Code as Appendix B. Cities must also establish <br />Disclosure Categories for each Designated Position, defining the types of financial interests <br />which must be disclosed based on the nature of the individual's assignments and responsibilities. <br />The list of Disclosure Categories is Appendix C of the Code. <br /> <br />Based upon a review of the City's current Conflict of Interest Code and discussions with the City <br />Attorney's Office and City departments, a revised Appendix B~Designated Positions List has <br />
