<br />5. Miscellaneous <br /> <br />ACFD shall respond to specific requests from the community including <br />but not limited to Fire Station Tours and Ride-alongs. <br /> <br />ACFD will develop specific bulletins and programs targeted to meet <br />identified needs or hazards within the City. Fire Prevention and Life Safety <br />Programs will be tailored to educate City residents and business community <br />in order to help preserve life and property. <br /> <br />d. Fire Prevention <br /> <br />1. Office in City Hall <br /> <br />ACFD shall maintain an office in the San Leandro City Hall to provide <br />fire prevention services. In the provision of those services, ACFD recognizes <br />the need for business retention and attraction in the City and will make every <br />effort to facilitate this goal while at the same time assuring community safety. <br /> <br />2. Fire Prevention Work Plan <br /> <br />The City Manager and Fire Chief shall designate personnel to develop <br />a mutually agreed to Fire Prevention work plan which will delineate <br />responsibilities, expectations, staffing, scheduling and performance <br />measurements for fire prevention services in San Leandro. This work plan <br />shall be reviewed annually and may be amended upon mutual agreement. <br />Any disputes relating to Fire Prevention services that are not resolved <br />between City and ACFD staff shall be directed to the City Manager and Fire <br />Chief or their designee for resolution. <br /> <br />3. Fire Inspection Staffim~ <br /> <br />ACFD shall provide one (1) Fire Marshal, as needed, in accordance <br />with the established shared allocation, one (1) Deputy Fire Marshal and one <br />(1) Fire Inspector. Changes in staffing or Fire Prevention services will be <br />mutually agreed upon by City Manager and the Fire Chief as the Fire <br />Prevention workload and City's finances dictate. At no time will staffing be <br />reduced below the minimum levels established by the Fire Chief to carry out <br />his/her statutorily mandated Fire Prevention services. <br /> <br />Agreement Regarding Fire and Emergency <br />Response Services - San Leandro/Alameda County <br /> <br />Page 9 of24 <br />
