A Certificate of Recognition to Assistant Chief Jim Purchio for his 26 years of <br />dedicated service to both the Alameda County Fire Department and the San Leandro <br />Fire Department and on the occasion of his retirement. <br />. A contribution from the Mayor's Community Fund to the San Leandro High School <br />Grad Night Committee for Sober Grad Night. <br />. A contribution from the Mayor's Community Fund to the San Leandro Historical <br />Society for its annual barbecue. <br />. Contributions from the Mayor's Community Fund to Washington Manor Junior League <br />Baseball, San Leandro Little League and Washington Manor Baseball League for their <br />end-of-year celebrations. <br />. A contribution from the Mayor's Community Fund to the San Leandro Swim Team. <br />. A contribution from the Mayor's Community Fund to the Interfaith Homelessness <br />Network for its anniversary celebration. <br />. A contribution from the Mayor's Community Fund to the Floresta Baseball League. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br /> <br />A. Matter of Imposing Liens for Non-Payment of Delinquent 2005-06 Sewer Service <br />Charges, 2005-06 Code Violation Penalties and/or Weed Abatement Charges, and <br />2006 Business License and West San Leandro Shuttle Business Improvement District <br />(BID) Fees (permits the City to place delinquent charges on the applicable fiscal year <br />2006-07 Alameda County secured property tax roll). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jermanis gave background on this item and introduced Budget & Compliance Manager <br />Victor Chan. Mr. Chan provided an updated report of delinquent accounts proposed to <br />be placed on the property tax roll. Mr. Jermanis commented that the strikeouts on the <br />list represent payments which have been received since the list was generated. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Randy Jones, Prudential Properties, addressed the City Council, commenting that he <br />believed the payment of delinquent business license fees should not be the responsibility <br />ofthe landlord. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br />
