Councilmember <br />Stephens asked if a business license is required by a landlord renting to a family <br />member. Finance Director Jesse Baloca noted that during the MBIA audit process, it <br />was discovered that there were residential units that had been rented to family members <br />at a reduced rate without the property owner obtaining a business license. In those <br />instances, penalties were waived. <br /> <br />. Matter of Ordinance Amending San Leandro Zoning Code Article 16, Section 4-1654 <br />(Building Projections into Yards and Courts) to Allow for Administrative Approval of <br />Wheelchair Ramps (allows administrative approvals, subject to standard conditions of <br />approval, for placement ofwhee1chair ramps). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jermanis gave background on the item and introduced Planning Manager Debbie <br />Pollart. Ms. Pollart provided an overview of the proposed amendments to the Zoning <br />Code which would expedite the approval process for wheelchair ramps. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />There being no comments from the public, and without objection, the Public Hearing <br />was closed. <br /> <br />.
