<br />MINUTES Page 8 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, and San Leandro Hillside Geologic Hazard <br />Abatement District Joint Meeting-July 17, 2006 <br /> <br />Public Comments on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that he is <br />the Republican non-affiliated political party candidate for the 10th State Senatorial District. <br />Mr. Fi1ipovich stated that since San Leandro is a charter city, it controls its elections. He <br />alluded to documents he has submitted to top City officials to which he never received a <br />response. <br /> <br />End of Public Comments on the Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Items 8.C. and 8.J. Items will be considered <br />under Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for pw:poses of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by <br />title. <br /> <br />Items 8.C. and 8.J. were removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items Removed <br />from Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />M/S/C Badger and Stephens. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Nardine) <br /> <br />A. Matter of Authorizing the Purchase of a Pierce Fire Apparatus Quantum Pumper Truck <br />(authorizes purchase of a fire engine and equipment from Pierce Manufacturing Inc. <br />without competitive bidding). (Moved to Item 9, Items Removed from Consent <br />Calendar.) <br /> <br />. Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of a Pierce Fire Apparatus Quantum Pumper <br />Truck from a Sole Source Vendor Without Competitive Bidding by Piggybacking <br />on Alameda County Fire Department's Purchase. Cost: $426,222 for engine and <br />$77,000 for equipment. Funding: General Fund. (1172) <br /> <br />. Resolution Declaring Intent to Reimburse Expenditures from the Proceeds of <br />Obligations to Be Issued by the City and Directing Certain Actions for the <br />
