<br />. .. <br /> <br />Section 18.0 Tuition Reimbursement <br /> <br />The Tuition Reimbursement Program is incorporated here by reference. The maximum tuition <br />reimbursement benefit under the program is one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per employee. <br /> <br />It is understood by the parties that classes taken as prerequisites to an approved course of study <br />are covered by this Tuition Reimbursement Program. <br /> <br />Section 19.0 Bonus Pay <br /> <br />The City Manager, in his sole discretion, may award additional pay based on performance, <br />pursuant to the provision ofthe Pay Plan, Personnel Rules or other authority. <br /> <br />Section 20.0 Term of Ae:reement <br /> <br />The above modifications have been agreed upon by the signatories of this Memorandum and <br />shall be presented as a joint recommendation for implementation in reference to all employees <br />represented by the San Leandro Management Organization. The modifications listed herein shall <br />be made on the dates shown for the period January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2008. <br /> <br />Section 21.0 Reopener <br /> <br />The parties agree to reopen Section 2 Health & Welfare for negotiations during the term of this <br />agreement at the request of either party. <br /> <br />Section 22.0 Equivalent Settlements <br /> <br />Should any other employee group receive additional paid time off during the term of this <br />agreement, the City and the SLMO agree to reopen negotiations on the issue oftime off only. <br /> <br />Section 23.0 Miscellaneous <br /> <br />23.1 Social Security <br />City to investigate and provide a written report (letter) by July 1, 2006 detailing why <br />withdrawal or employee contributions at a reduced rate (Medicare rate) from the social <br />security system is not possible. <br /> <br />23.2 General Leave <br />City to investigate and provide a written report by September 1, 2006 on the issue of the <br />consolidation of vacation and sick leave into an annual leave bank. <br /> <br />The report (letter) will outline the City's research on the general leave issue. At a <br />minimum the report will include a listing of other Bay Area county agencies using a <br />general leave system, perceived or observed benefits (pluses) and disadvantages <br />(minuses) and the City's conclusions based on the investigation. <br /> <br />Upon request, the City will answer any questions related to the report. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />slmo. 05-0 1-06 JC <br />
