Excopt of Approved Minufes - /2/7/06 Board of Zoning Al?iustmenfs Meeting

3

. She liked tandem spaces, and she wondered how practical covered spaces really were.
However, she agreed that having different standards for the RO District was impractical
and using the same standards as in other districts was a good idea.

Member Pearson asked what a covered space was. He liked requiring two parking spaces per
unit for two-family homes.

Planning Manager Pollart replied that a covered space could be a carport or a garage.

Chair Raposo believed that tandem parking was something that would be used widely in the
future.

Planning Manager Pollart asked if tandem parking should be allowed in any of the zoning
districts or just considered only in the RO District.

Chair Raposo and Vice Chair Goldt felt that all zoning districts should allow it.

Member Eliason agreed, as long as the parking spaces served the same dwelling unit, such as
with RM, multi-family units.

Member Mar.- asked if only one parking space be required for the Darius Road project that was
to have more than seven bedrooms, if one more parking space for more than four bedrooms was
approved.

Planning Manager Pollart stated that she was correct, but the Board could change it.

Chair Raposo asked how many parking spaces were originally planned for that project.

Planning Manager Poll art replied that a total of nine parking spaces had been planned.

Member Mar.- recalled that approximately 20 people had planned to live in that house.

-I + + + + + + + + -I -1- + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + I- + + + + + + + + + + + + -I + + +
