Mayor Young expressed suPPOtt for <br />Councilmember Grant's suggestion. <br /> <br />Council member Nardine recalled that the original process for selecting members <br />involved C011l111unity input. Mr. Jcrmanis noted that while the original process involved <br />an election, a change is being proposed to have the Council appoint the committee <br />members. <br /> <br />Councilmember Narcline asked if it is appropriate to take action tonight to increase the <br />size of the committee. Mr. Wamer indicated that the agenda would allow the Council to <br />take the action. <br /> <br />Councill1lel1lber Grant gave some history about the RAe, noting that one of the East <br />14th Street residential representatives is now a business representative. She would like <br />to expand the committee in order to replace the lost residential representative position. <br />Mayor Young noted it would be appropriate to have an odd number of members on the <br />comm i ttee. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze asked to have the boundaries ofthe redevelopment area defined. Mr. <br />leOllanis described the boundaries of the redevelopment area. <br />
