Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> <br />City Attol11ey Williams reported that the City Council met in closed session earlier this <br />evening to discuss the pending litigation matter of Regina Kovats \IS. St. Lcandcr's <br />Church and Pastoral Centcr alld the Ci(v (~f San Lcandro. The City Attorney made a <br />recommcndation for settlement orthe matter. The City Council approved the settlernent <br />recommendation of a $25,000 contribution by the City of San Leandro. A $40,000 <br />contribution will be made by St. Leander's Church. There will be a confirming <br />resolution 1'01' this agreement on a future City Council meeting agenda. The vote was 6 <br />ayes; 1 absent (Grant). <br /> <br />B. Minute Order No. 2004-009, Matter of Appointment of City Councilmembers to City <br />Council Internal Committees. (1156) <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze asked that the memorandum from Mayor Young to the City Council <br />be included in the minutes ofthis meeting, as it contains the Mayor's reconunendations <br />rcgarding the appointments. Mayor Y ollng suggested the memo could be attached as an <br />addendum to the minutes. She asked the City Attomey if the entire memo needed to be <br />read into the record. Ms. Williams stated that it would not be necessary to read the <br />memo into the record, but rather simply reference the memo and indicate that it would <br />be attached to the minutes as paJi ofthc public record. <br />
