CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant reported that she is now Chair of the Governing Board of the <br />Associated Community Action Program (ACAP). ACAP now has an interim executive <br />director and hopes to hire a permanent executive director soon. <br /> <br />Councilmelllber Santos reported on the Alameda County Commission on Aging, and <br />everyone on the Commission appreciated the letter rrom Mayor Young to the Board or <br />Supervisors. He noted that budget cuts are planned which will affect senior centers <br />throughout the County. The Commission is planning another Wellncss Fair on <br />September 9, 2004 at Centennial Hall in Hayward, and Councilmcmber Santos <br />expressed hope that San Leandro would participate in the event. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />I. Airport Committee Meeting or Aplil l, 2004, Accepted as suhmitted. <br /> <br />2. Business Development Committee Meeting of March 24, 2004. Accepted as <br />suhmitted. <br /> <br />3. Disaster Council Meeting of March 17,2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />4. Facilities Committee Meeting of April l, 2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />5. Finance Committee Meeting of March ] 8,2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />6. Human Relations Committee Meeting of March ] 8, 2004. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br /> <br />a. Direct the City Manager to have starr coordinate the training program of the <br />Rental Housing Owners Association (RHOA) with ECHOI-lousing to <br />provide a training meeting for rental property owners and managers <br />regarding fair housing rights and responsibilities. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council accepted this recommendation. <br /> <br />b. Direct the City Manager to review the City's contract with ECHO I-lousing <br />to detcnnine if increased services can be provided in San Leandro to help <br />reduce incidents of fair housing violations. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council accepted this recommendation. <br />
