<br />MINUTES Page 18 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Economic Development Agency, <br />and San Leandro Hillside Geologic Hazard Abatement District Joint Meeting -July 19, 2004 <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Airport Committee Meeting of July 1, 2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br /> <br />a. City Council concurrence to add a page to the City's web site regarding <br />airport issues. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br /> <br />2. Human Relations COlnmittee Meeting of July 8, 2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos commented that former Councilmember Loeffler had <br />encouraged the faith community's involvement in the Human Relations <br />Committee n1eetings. He expressed concern that the faith community has not <br />been participating in the meetings. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated that she recently met with Reverend Sarah Reyes, <br />who informed her that the coalition of churches and clergy had disbanded. There <br />have been efforts to reorganize the group, but there is no interest in participation <br />with the Committee at this time. <br /> <br />12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember N ardine comn1ented on the passing of Bob Williams, stating that he was a <br />great educator, student advocate, friend and fan1ily member and will be greatly missed. <br /> <br />Mayor Young commented that the comn1unity has lost several members recently. She noted <br />that the City Council will adjourn in memory of Bob Williams, Al Cayere, Dave McDonald <br />and June Oriarte. <br /> <br />13.
