CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager J ermanis commented that he will look into the issue raised by Mr. Perez <br />regarding a representation by the City that sound insulation would be provided to the homes <br />adj acent to the Westgate Parkway extension soundwall. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councihnembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Mel11bers of the Public may request, by filing a speaker card prior to the <br />calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent <br />Calendar will be considered for approval under one motion. <br /> <br />Regarding Item 8.C., Councilmember Grant inquired about retrofitting City vehicles. Mr. <br />J ern1anis indicated that at the present time the City is unable to assume the cost of <br />l11aintenance for alternative fuel vehicles. <br /> <br />Regarding Item 8.G., Councilmember Glaze recalled that work was done at Bonaire several <br />years ago and asked what this new proj ect will include. Engineering and Transportation <br />Director Uche Udemezue indicated that this project will bring the park into compliance with <br />the Americans with Disabilities Act by improving accessibility between the park's features. <br /> <br />Regarding Hel11 8.H., Mayor Young expressed concern that this project was approved almost <br />a year ago and was only now moving forward. <br /> <br />No amendment to Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />n1ay remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes each to a maximum of 5 minutes for <br />all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> <br />The items on the Consent Calendar were approved by the following vote: <br /> <br />M1S/C Grant and Santos.
