<br />~lINUTES Page 6 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-September 20, 2004 <br /> <br />Mr. J ermanis addressed Mr. Becknlan' s conlment, stating that the City Council Airport <br />COlnmittee has invited officials from the Port of Oakland and FAA to its next meeting to <br />discuss the pros and cons of installing an additional instrument landing system. He expressed <br />assurances that the City is working to improve the terms of the settlement agreement and <br />clarify various issues. Mr. J ermanis stated that the City Council will receive a full report <br />before any modification to the existing agreenlent is made. <br /> <br />City Attorney Williams responded to the issue of whether the City Council could take action <br />on items affecting a district if the district representative was not present. Ms. Williams stated <br />that the City Council acts as a body on behalf of the City, which is a Inunicipal corporation. <br />She noted that although Councilmembers are elected to represent a district, their duty is to the <br />City/municipal corporation. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed fronl the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public Inay request, by filing a speaker card prior to the <br />calling of Itenl 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent <br />Calendar will be considered for approval under one nlotion. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Items 8.B., 8.E., and 8.1. Items will be <br />considered under Item 9. Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Alnendlnent of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />nlay remove itelns frOln the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes each to a maximum of 5 minutes for <br />all items. Itenls listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> <br />Items 8.B., 8.E., and 8.1. were removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9. Items <br />Removed from Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were <br />approved by the following vote: <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Grant. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Glaze) <br /> <br />A. Ordinance No. 2004-019, an Ordinance Zoning Certain Property Herein Described as <br />to Rezoning District and Amending Zoning Map (PLN2004-00034) - 915 Lewelling <br />Boulevard, Alameda County Assessor's Parcel Number 80G-1290-13.(l009/l099/1024) <br /> <br />- Adopted <br />
