<br />MINUTES Page 2 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-November 1,2004 <br /> <br />A Proclanlation was issued declaring October 21, 2004 as "Lights on After School Day" <br />in San Leandro. <br />A Comlnendation presented to the Brotherhood of St. Anthony Mutual Benefit of the <br />State of California on its 102nd Anniversary and on the occasion of its 62nd Annual <br />Convention. <br />A Certificate of Recognition was presented to country singer Lee Ann Womack, naming <br />her an Honorary Citizen of San Leandro. <br />A Proclamation was issued declaring October 11-16,2004 as "National DECA Week" in <br />San Leandro. <br />A contribution was made from the Mayor's Comnlunity Fund to the George Mark <br />Children's House, a honle for children with terminal cancer. <br />A contribution was made from the Mayor's Community Fund to the San Leandro <br />Buccaneers baseball team, which went on to become #1 in the U.S. for 13 and under <br />baseball. <br /> <br />A. Recognition of the Employee of the Month for the Month of November 2004, <br />Le Anna Tasby, Police Service Aide, Police Department. <br /> <br />Le Anna Tasby was present to receive her award. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are lilnited to 5 minutes per person, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br /> <br />A. Matter of PLN2004-00074; Vesting Tentative Map Tract 7560 for an II-Unit <br />Residential Condominium Subdivision at 82 Chumalia Street (Northwest Comer of <br />Chumalia and Hyde Streets); Assessor's Parcel Numbers 77-446-1-2 and 77-446-2; <br />Hunt Hale & Jones Architects (Applicant); Maybelle Properties, LLC (Property <br />Owners); RM-1800(PD) Residential Multi-Family, Planned Development Overlay <br />District (recon1illends approval of proposed Vesting Tentative Map which shows the <br />design and detail of on-site and off-site improvements of the subject subdivision). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />J ermanis gave an overview of the item and introduced Planner II Elmer Penaranda. Mr. <br />Penaranda gave a short PowerPoint presentation providing background on the project <br />and the recommended action. He noted that a letter expressing support for the project <br />was received from one of the neighboring property owners. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />There being no public comments, and without objection, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />
