(1215) <br /> <br />Councihnenlber Santos stated that he removed this item from the Consent Calendar at <br />the request of residents who wished to address it. <br /> <br />Public Comments on Item 8.D. <br /> <br />John Manuel, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />ilnportance of having a written agreenlent with the Port of Oakland (Port) to retain the <br />South Field Study Group. He expressed concern regarding Runway 27 and allowing an <br />additional Instrument Landing Systeln (ILS) on Runway 27 Left. <br /> <br />Bill Kane, Alameda resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that the City of <br />San Jose's noise ordinance, which inlposes a curfew on aircraft over a certain weight, <br />was found to be discriminatory. Mr. Kane commented on the relocation of the ILS on <br />Runway 27 Right. <br /> <br />Wafaa Aborashed, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting <br />that the FAA has not completed its report on the second ILS, and there has been no EIR <br />on its inlpact. Ms. Aborashed conllnented on a recent Airport Committee lneeting at <br />which the runway use policy and large and heavy aircraft were discussed. <br /> <br />Francois Gallo, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, asking the Council <br />to consider tabling the resolution until nlore study is done, the FAA has conlpleted its <br />report and the inlpacts of the second ILS are known. Mr. Gallo commented on the <br />language in the addendunl, noting the importance of the definitions used, loopholes <br />which may exist and the need for information on capacity at North Field. <br />
