REGULAR MEETING 7:00 PM-City Council Chambers 1. CALL TO ORDER A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag Community Relations Representative Kathy Ornelas led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. B. Roll Call PRESENT: Members Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens ABSENT: Mayor Young 2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS None. 3. PUBLIC HEARINGS Public Hearing Comments are lilnited to 5 minutes per person, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers n1ay be determined and an official record of nan1es and addresses obtained. A. Matter of Appeal by Mark Landes, Landes Corp., Applicant, of the Planning Con1n1ission's Denial of PLN2003-00054; Appeal by Applicant of the Decision of the Planning Con1mission to Deny: 1) Rezoning the Property Known as 14340 Washington Avenue from CC Community Commercial District to IL(PD) Industrial Lilnited, Planned Developlnent Overlay District; and 2) the Construction of a Self- Storage Facility Comprising of Approximately 80,700 Square Feet; Assessor's Parcel Nun1ber 77C-1235-2-22; M. Landes, Landes Corp. (Applicant and Property Owner) (proposes postponement of the public hearing to the City Council Meeting on January 18,2005, per request by the applicant). This being the tilne and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager J ennanis introduced Con1munity Development Director Hanson HOln. Mr. HOln gave a brief background on the lnatter and stated that a letter was received from the applicant's attorney requesting a continuance of the Public Hearing to January 18, 2005. The Hearing was then opened to the Public. Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council on a matter unrelated to the Public Hearing item.
