Minute Order No. 2004-040, Motion to Continue the Matter of Appeal <br />Regarding the Plmming Commission's Denial of PLN2003-00054 to a Public <br />Hearing on January 18, 2005; Appeal by Applicant of the Decision of the <br />Planning Conlmission to Deny: 1) Rezoning the Property Known as 14340 <br />Washington Avenue from CC COlnmunity Commercial District to IL(PD) <br />Industrial Limited, Planned Development Overlay District; and 2) the <br />Construction of a Self-Storage Facility Comprising of Approxilnately 80,700 <br />Square Feet; Assessor's Parcel Number 77C-1235-2-22; M. Landes, Landes <br />Corp. (Applicant and Property Owner). (1009/1024/1099/2761) <br /> <br />The City Council moved to continue the matter of appeal regarding the <br />Planning Commission's denial of PLN2003-00054 to a Public Hearing on <br />January 18, 2005; appeal by applicant of the decision of the Planning <br />Commission to deny: 1) rezoning the property known as 14340 Washington <br />Avenue from CC Community Commercial District to IL(PD) Industrial <br />Limited, Planned Development Overlay District; and 2) the construction of <br />a self-storage facility comprising of approximately 80,700 square feet; <br />Assessor's Parcel Number 77C-1235-2-22; M. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Young) <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos comlnented that nlembers of the Council have received a letter <br />frOln Jim and Mike Knuppe, owners of AAAAA Rent-A-Space. He requested that the <br />letter be made part of the meeting record and be provided to the Council for <br />consideration at the continued Public Hearing at the January 18, 2005 City Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4. (Jim) Athey, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, urging the Council to <br />pass a resolution opposing the proposed Indian casino in Oakland and offering to circulate a <br />petition. <br />
