CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Counciln1ember Grant asked if, at the next Business Development Committee meeting, it is <br />possible for the Comn1ittee to have an update and discussion regarding the Albertson's <br />property. Mr. J ern1anis confirmed that this will be arranged. Counciln1ember Grant wished <br />everyone Merry Christmas and happy holidays. <br /> <br />Councilmelllber Nardine expressed appreciation for the holiday season crime prevention <br />report fron1 the Police Chief. She recalled that the Council had agreed to a zero tolerance <br />policy for fireworks, and pointed out that the New Year is a time when fireworks are <br />prevalent. Councilmelllber Nardine asked that the Police Chief also provide a report on <br />fireworks enforcelllent for the New Year's holiday and make the response to fireworks calls a <br />priority. <br /> <br />Counciln1ember Glaze wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. He <br />asked that tonight's n1eeting be adjourned in memory of Thomas "T.J." Rogers, who was a <br />forn1er San Leandro Police Chief. Councilmember Glaze noted that Chief Rogers was <br />responsible for impOliant reforms in the San Leandro Police Department during the early 60s <br />and was known nationwide for his work in law enforcement reform. <br />
